Archive Series installations by David Garcia

    Aug 6, 11 • In all, furniture

Installations by designer David Garcia is difficult to characterized with just few simpls words, so let`s the author speak: “Clearly non functional, they aim to appeal to the senses, creating a narrative which more often than not, reaches the absurd.” The Archive Series are unfortunately designed only to be exhibited. It would be a nice change to line up your books in these round and funny objects instead of linear and static shelves. via: dornob.com

    Dedon Obelisk

    Apr 10, 11 • In all, furniture

The well known company for exclusive outdoor furniture DEDON, has new three collection for year 2008 – ZOFA, PHOENIX and SPA. All of them are great as ussuallly an designed by Jean-Marie Massaud. But my no.1 is OBELISK. When the four lounge chairs and the coffee table are not being used, they are stucked into a towering stone – remaining the manhirs in Carnac on French Atlantic coast – the main inspiration for designer Frank Lighart. And the main idea? It’s good to know, that stacked furniture doesn’t have to look like stacked furniture ;) This classic already has a new color and material design for the year 2008. Check yourself for more at DEDON official site.
